CARA’s Fall Half Marathon Training Program

Is your goal to run a Half Marathon? This ten-week program will help you prepare to complete a half marathon (13.1 miles). The target race for this program is the Chicago Half Marathon (CARA Registered Race) on September 9. This program includes clinics with speakers covering all aspects of training, and 9 weekend group runs led by experienced group leaders. Weekend training runs start Saturday, July 7 and is offered in Chicago’s Lincoln Park.

This 10-week program starts off with a Kickoff Clinic June 26 where you’ll meet fellow runners in training and group leaders. At this clinic you’ll also pick up your packet – which contains a booklet with your training run schedule, tips, Smart Running by Hal Higdon, plus a great premium.

New this year – We’ve teamed up with the Pancreatica Pacesetters Running Team. You can join their efforts to help fight pancreatic cancer. Your fundraising efforts will benefit the Lorenzen Cancer Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to raise awareness, increase education and support research aimed at changing the tragic human relationship to pancreatic cancer.

We’ve helped thousands of runners achieve their half marathon goal, and we can help you too. Sign up for the program today!
