Race Evaluations & Ratings
Rating races you have run helps race directors to plan and improve their events. It also helps CARA
assemble the best races for the CARA Circuit. Evaluations received within two weeks of race day are tallied and
submitted to the race director for review.

Awards for the Recreational Runner
Even if you never win races or place in your age group, you can compete on your own level and earn
great awards just for finishing races:
CARA Participation Award
Runners qualify for a year-end Participation Award by accomplishing either of the following:
- Complete a total of 107 total kilometers in any combination of
CARA Circuit Races and
CARA Registered Races.
OR
Complete one race at each of the following distances in any combination of
CARA Circuit Races and
CARA Registered Races:
5K or 4-miles;
8K, 5-miles, or 10K;
10-miles;
Marathon, Half Marathon, 20K, 25K, 30K, or 50K
Only CARA members are eligible, and you must complete a registration form to be eligible. You can

CARA Long Distance Series Award
All runners who complete five (5) races on the
CARA Long Distance Series, including one marathon
or its equivalent (e.g., 26.2 miles of a 50K race), will receive a Long Distance Series Award at year’s end. No
other races may be substituted.
Only CARA members are eligible, and you must complete a registration form to be eligible. You can
